Spot on. I’ve got a base 2018 in WRB - only options are the STI catback and the full Kicker stereo upgrade with the sub. The transmission is notchy, not as good as my Mazda3, but almost nothing is as good as Mazda currently. Rev hang makes the 1-2 shift a little difficult. The automatic climate control is a bit annoying with the AC kicking on until you turn it off. Ergo is excellent. I love the base cloth seats - some of the best I’ve had. But otherwise it’s a super fun, and still very usable car.
